Kenny Golladay

WR, Lions

1200px-U+25CB.svg.png

Kenny Golladay was great last year, with 65 receptions for 1,190 yards and 11 touchdowns. It’s important to note that Matthew Stafford missed eight games, and Golladay likely would have done a lot better had Stafford played the full season. In eight games with Stafford, Golladay had 38 receptions for 697 yards and 7 touchdowns (76 receptions for 1,394 yards and 14 touchdowns over the course of a full season). This year with Stafford healthy, Golladay should be able to see better numbers and be a very good fantasy option. The problem with Golladay is that he doesn’t get a ton of targets, coming in with only 116 last year. When a receiver doesn’t get many targets but is super efficient like Golladay, they end up being very inconsistent throughout the season. Last year, Golladay had 5 games with over 115 receiving yards and 11 with under 75, zero in between. He was and will be very inconsistent which is a problem and could potentially lead to lower production if he gets unlucky with his efficiency. For that reason, Golladay is riskier than other receivers going around where he is going. Despite that, Kenny Golladay should be able to put up good numbers and has a legitimate chance to lead the league in receiving touchdowns, so he is worth drafting in the third round.
