Fant has potential to be one of the best receiving tight ends in the NFL. He is incredibly fast, which is demonstrated by his 4.5 40 time. He is solid as a route runner and has decent hands, but he will be capable of improving both in the NFL. His speed will give him the potential to be great if he can improve those two things. He is also fantastic after the catch. The largest concern with Fant is his blocking. He is horrendous. In the NFL, he will need to improve or he will need to come out of the game on run plays. Overall, Fant has the potential to be a fantastic tight end in the NFL, but if he can’t improve, he will just be another athletic freak who can’t transition to the next level.
